Affordable Market Rentals
Our affordable market rentals, many of which offer subsidized and geared-to-income rental rates, are available to individuals and families. As housing costs continue to rise in the capital region, we’re making it possible for more people to live with dignity.

Subsidized Housing
In subsidized rental buildings, a subsidy often covers the difference between what residents can afford and the cost of operating the building. Rent is determined based on income: tenants receiving income assistance may pay a flat rate, while those not on income assistance may pay 30% of their gross monthly household income.

Supportive Housing
Cool Aid operates 14 supportive housing locations, including five dedicated to seniors. Residents benefit from comprehensive care in a safe, nurturing environment where they can rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.

Shelters
Cool Aid’s emergency shelters provide a critical starting point for individuals transitioning out of homelessness, offering a stable environment as they work toward securing long-term, supportive, or affordable housing.
